Description
Innovation Toy Lab Week 6 – August 4–7 | From Idea to Market
Welcome to Innovation Toy Lab Week 6, a unique short-week program where children step into the role of inventors, designers, and creative thinkers. From August 4 to 7, campers explore the full journey of innovation—from brainstorming ideas to building prototypes and presenting their final creations. This hands‑on experience helps children understand how imagination, engineering, and entrepreneurship come together to bring new products to life.
A Week of Creativity and Invention
Throughout Innovation Toy Lab Week 6, campers learn how toys are designed, tested, improved, and prepared for the market. They explore building materials, simple technology tools, and creative problem‑solving techniques. Children discover how inventors think, how prototypes evolve, and how ideas become real products.
What Campers Will Experience
- Toy Concept Development: Children brainstorm ideas, sketch designs, and explore what makes a toy fun, safe, and engaging.
- Hands‑On Prototyping: Using building materials, craft supplies, and simple tools, campers create early versions of their toy ideas.
- Technology Exploration: Kids experiment with basic circuits, mechanisms, and motion to enhance their designs.
- Testing & Improving: Campers test their prototypes, gather feedback, and make improvements—just like real inventors.
- Pitch & Presentation: Children learn how to “sell” their idea through storytelling, demonstrations, and creative presentations.
- Short Week Note: Due to the Monday holiday, this week runs from Tuesday to Friday.
