Daily Reading Club

Immerse your child in the joy of reading through our daily Reading Club! Kids earn points as they delve into captivating stories, and by collecting points, they not only receive exciting gifts but also level up their reading skills in both English and French (depending on their School program).

Daily STEAM Adventures

Explore a variety of STEAM-based programs every day of the week. From captivating Coding/Robotic and art projects at the start of the week to culinary adventures at the end, each day unveils a new project, ranging from scientific experiments to thrilling engineering challenges.

Daily Schedule

3:00 - 3:30: Arrival and Snack

Children arrive at the center, wash their hands, meet and greet their peers, and then enjoy a healthy snack.

3:30 - 4:00: Outdoor/Indoor Playtime

Weather permitting, students engage in outdoor play. This outlet of energy helps students get ready for the learning period ahead.

4:00 - 4:30: Homework Completion & Reading Club

Our dedicated instructors are here to provide assistance and guidance as your child completes their homework. We have English, French, and Math teacher in the center to help them in their homeworks. Developing a love for literacy and numeracy at a young age is beneficial for children, and this engaging time promotes reading comprehension and mathematical skills. Our reward point system encourages kids to read daily for 30 minutes, helping them develop a lifelong reading habit.

4:30 - 5:30: Daily STEAM Project!

It’s time for children to dive into our thoughtfully designed STEAM programs! At the beginning of each month a theme is chosen and daily programs are designed around it. Each day of the week is a new adventure in either Science, Technology, Engineering, Art or Math!

5:30 - 6:00: Wrap up and free game time

Hive5 is pleased to offer school transportation services from select schools in Newmarket and surrounding areas, ensuring a hassle-free transition from school to our enriching after-school program.

Availability: Transportation services are available from certain schools in Newmarket and nearby locations.
Time: School days, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Age Group: Designed for children aged 4 to 12 years.
