About HIVE5

Hive5 kids is an innovative STEAM-based center for school aged children (4-14yrs).  STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. STEAM is critical to the future success of the young generation as the most core concept of future jobs are rooted in the 5 skills of STEAM education.

Our Story

Hive5 kids were founded in 2018 by two passionate scientists/artists friends who had a dream to make an open area for children to learn the elaborate concept of science as enjoyable as doing art. They started their business as a mobile center and held different weekend workshops in Art, science, and engineering under the ArTS workshop series. In 2019 the new Hive5 was born in Aurora as an after-school Art class.  In 2021 during the Ontario shut down Hive5’s innovative center for kids opened at a 2000-square-foot center in Newmarket, Ontario, Canada.

Unleash Your Child’s creativity with Hive5 STEAM-based activities

Hive5 is where the little bees arrive and produce honey in 5 different areas of STEAM. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. These 5 areas of STEAM are critical to the future success of the young generation as the core concept of future jobs is rooted in the 5 skills of STEAM education.

STEAM is based on the idea of educating students in five specific disciplines in an interdisciplinary and applied approach rather than teaching the 5 disciplines as unrelated and separate subjects. It is a cohesive learning model based on real-world applications.

The future is now! Hive5 is dedicated to helping school-aged children to build a strong foundation in the knowledge required to succeed in mastering and designing technologies of the future by teaching them how to be innovative.

Hive5 looks for different projects and activities that cultivate and empower the kids to remain curious, imaginative and passionate about Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM). Kids are naturally curious and creative. They want to learn about the world around them, our mission at Hive5 is to teach them the skills to preserve and spark their curiosity and unleash their creativity while they have fun!

Hive5 innovative center tries to turn the students into a creative thinkers, communicators, and collaborators and our programs focus on developing the following “Cs” skills:

  • Creativity
  • Critical Thinking
  • Collaboration

Why us?

Hive5 is a place where your child can learn and have fun in a safe environment. Hive5 is a place not just for having fun and learning, it’s a place for learning social skills and it’s a place that is not just focused on one or two activities. Hive5 offers a variety of STEAM-based hands-on programs and gives the kids an opportunity to experience, make mistakes, make themself dirty, and learn from their mistakes. Here at Hive5, we are not looking for the result as we make the learning process fun and engaging and we enjoy with them the process, not the result.

Hive5 different active classrooms giving your child the opportunity to participate in hands-on activities that expand his or her knowledge of science, technology, engineering, Art and math. Hive5 designed 5 different STEAM rooms and each room used for each concept of STEAM. The kids have a chance to move from one room to another and connect their mind with different concepts.
