Camp Refund and Cancellation Policy

Refund Policy – Summer Camp / Camps

30 days or more before the first day of the camp week: Full refund less a 10% administrative fee.

8–29 days before the first day of the camp week: 60% refund.

7 days or less before the first day of the camp week: No refunds.

Once camp has started, no refunds will be issued for missed days, illness, early withdrawal, or dismissal from camp.

In exceptional medical circumstances, a credit may be considered at management’s discretion.

Transfers

Camp weeks are non-transferable.

Week transfers may be permitted more than 14 days in advance, subject to availability and a $25 administrative fee.

Camper Conduct & Behaviour Policy

At Hive5, we are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and positive environment for all children and staff.

Campers are expected to:

  • Follow staff instructions

  • Respect peers, staff, and property

  • Participate safely in activities

  • Use appropriate language and behaviour

The following behaviours may result in immediate parent notification and possible dismissal:

  • Physical aggression (hitting, kicking, pushing, throwing objects)

  • Bullying, harassment, or repeated disruptive behaviour

  • Destruction of property

  • Unsafe behaviour that puts themselves or others at risk

  • Refusal to follow safety rules after repeated redirection

If behaviour concerns arise:

  1. Staff will attempt redirection and coaching.

  2. Parents will be contacted if behaviour continues.

  3. In serious or repeated cases, the camper may be removed from the program.

Hive5 reserves the right to dismiss any camper whose behaviour compromises the safety, well-being, or experience of others.

No refunds will be issued in the event of dismissal due to behaviour.

How to Request a Refund

Submit your request in writing to:

Include:

  • Camp week requested

  • Order number

  • Child’s name

Refund eligibility is based on the date the email is received.

Refund Method

Refunds will be issued to the original method of payment where possible. If unavailable, refunds will be issued by e-transfer or cheque.
